Très belle cervelière, en fer, cette calotte de protection se portait sous le képi et après l’apparition du casque Adrian, elles ont terminé leur carrière comme bol à munition dans les tranchées. Rare à trouver dans cet état. Oxydation superficielle. French protective skull cap. Fine iron protective skull cap intended to be worn beneath the kepi. Following the introduction of the Adrian helmet these pieces later served as ammunition bowls in the trenches. Rare to find in this condition. Superficial oxidation present
